01

Who we are

Duyna (“Duyna,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Duyna LLC, based in San Francisco, California. Duyna lets you see the file the places you come back to already keep on you. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Questions about your privacy? Write to privacy@duyna.app.

02

What this policy covers

This policy covers the consumer Duyna app at duyna.app — the place you log in with your phone number to read your duynas. It does not cover the independent businesses (the shops) you visit; each shop is responsible for its own records and its own privacy practices.

03

Information we collect

  • Your phone number. We use it to text you a one-time login code and to find the duynas held for you. It is the only thing you give us to log in — there is no password.
  • What shops share. The places you visit keep a file on you — visits, dates, notes, and similar records. When a shop uses Duyna, we mirror the parts of that file meant for you back to you.
  • Basic device and usage data. Standard technical information (such as device type, approximate region, and error logs) that helps us keep the service working and secure.

We do not ask for, and do not want, more than we need to show you your duynas.

04

How we use your information

  • To text you a login code and keep you logged in on your device.
  • To show you the duynas the shops you visit keep for you.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and number-recycling takeovers.
  • To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising.

05

How shops fit in

The shops you visit are independent businesses. They author the file they keep on you and control what it contains. Duyna mirrors that record back to you and gives the shop tools to manage it. If something a shop recorded is wrong, the shop is the right place to correct it — reach out to them directly, and Duyna can help where it can.

06

When we share information

We share information only in limited ways:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help us run the service (for example, text-message delivery and hosting), under contracts that limit them to that purpose.
  • The relevant shop. Information tied to your relationship with a shop is visible to that shop, because the file is theirs.
  • Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of people and the service.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
07

Text messages (SMS)

We send a one-time code by text so you can log in. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Receiving a login code is required to use the service; we do not send marketing texts without your separate consent. Reply STOP to opt out of any optional messages and HELP for help.

08

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as you use Duyna and as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Records a shop keeps are governed by that shop’s own retention practices.

09

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to ask us to restrict certain uses. To make a request, write to privacy@duyna.app. We will verify your request (typically by confirming your phone number) before acting on it, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that keep your duynas visible only to you and to the shop that keeps them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

11

Children's privacy

Duyna is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, write to privacy@duyna.app and we will delete it.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice through the service.
